Silicon Valley Rolls Out Red Carpet For Newest Arrival.

Pennsylvania whiz kid wooed by dozens of companies at ceremony.

Computer Genius
James Rossario
The Who's Who of Bay Area Technology companies were out in full force earlier this week to welcome James Rossario, a recent U of Penn graduate who came to the fabled Silicon Valley to further his career.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for some lucky Bay Area company to try to snap this kid up." said Mike Chang, of iesolutions.com. "James knows HTML backwards and forwards. He even has professional experience, having worked on the computer science department's webpage. He knows Windows 95 in and out, and can even set up an Access database. Whatever company gets him is getting one heck of a deal."

While James hasn't committed himself to any one company yet, (at least publically) some insiders speculate he'll probably be made a full partner in a start-up, rather than get a top job at an already established company. "He knows so much, as far as Microsoft Office programs and FrontPage." Said an amazed Jocko Jones, CEO of NettyNet. "I saw some of the pages he's made for his college. Spinning logos, audio clips, mailto's set up, the whole 9 yards. The Bay Area is really, really lucky to get someone as talented as James, and I'm sure whatever company gets him is going to treat him really, really well."

Company managers strain to get a glimpse of Bay Area's newest whiz kid.
Many big names in the industry were on hand, including Oracle's Larry Ellison, who joked to the assembled crowd. "I better watch my back. I think my replacement just rolled into town."

James was given the Honorary Keys to San Jose by the city's major, and then playfully mob-attacked by local tech managers who clipped over 80 swipecards with his name and picture already on them to his shirt.

"It's great to be here in Silicon Valley, where I know that someone like me can make a real difference." said a blushing, grateful James.

While we here at the Silicon Valley Outsider agree on at least one of those points, looking at James's sheer pool of talent and can-do attitude, I think we can all agree: There's no one else like James, not in the Silicon Valley or anywhere!
